Medical Documentation Specialists

LaVelle Productions (LP) specializes in a unique method of branding and marketing for hospitals, biotech companies, and physician practices through visual storytelling and documentation of the healthcare sector. Mechelle LaVelle, the founder of LP, has focused a majority of her work on projects that have explored the patient/ physician relationship. Through her work, she has learned that without quality communication between the patient and physician, true healing cannot be achieved. LP, under Mechelle’s direction, aims to reduce the mystery and stigma of the healthcare system by unmasking its inner workings and reintroducing patients to physicians and to the latest advancements in medicine. This method of marketing a healthcare entity serves to connect the entity to its customer base (its patients, its physicians, and its community) by returning the focus to the basics: caring for the individual.

LP’s experience and passion for storytelling is used to navigate viewers smoothly through the complexities of the healthcare system as well as educate them about new, innovative medical technology. LP understands that health and wellness is about people and they are experts at capturing compelling human moments in the form of testimonials, first-hand patient accounts, and health care provider profiles.

A woman had surgery at a local hospital to have an abscess from her right arm drained which left her with an open wound packed with Iodoform gauze. Iodoform gauze is commonly used to pack wounds and facilitate wound healing. She came to the shelter to request a sterile environment to change her bandages. The NSO also provided pain medication that was more affordable than the medication that the hospital physician had prescribed. Packing changes are normally administered by a doctor or by a home health care nurse.
